Nowadays,to our joy, there are much more and more antelopes in China. What's more, their living conditions have greatly improved.
                                             去掉 much
3.the改為a;考查冠詞的用法,as a result 是一個固定搭配,意為"結(jié)果是".
5.die后面加上out;根據(jù)語境這句話的意思應(yīng)該是"將來羚羊?qū)䴗缃^",die out是固定搭配,"滅絕"的意思,所以在die后面加上out.
10.去掉much;考查形容詞,more and more意為"越來越多的"much在前面多余,所以去掉.

4.Before my first summer vacation at college,my roommate Ted asked to me to work with him on his father's farm in Argentina.The idea of spending two months in Argentine was exciting.Then I began having second thoughts.I had never been far from New England,and I had been homesick my first few weeks at college.What would it be like in a strange country?What about the language?The more I thought about it,the more the idea worried me.
In the end I turned down the invitation.As soon as Ted asked somebody else to go,I began kicking myself.I had turned down something I wanted to do because I was scared,and had ended up feeling depressed.That unhappy summer taught me a valuable lesson out of which I developed a rule for myself:do what makes you anxious; don't do what makes you depressed.
At the end of my senior year,I began to think about becoming a writer.But my professor was urging me to aim at teaching.I hesitated.The idea of trying to live by writing was a lot scarier than spending a summer in Argentina.Back and forth I went,making my decision,unmaking it.Suddenly I realized that every time I gave up the idea of writing,that downhearted feeling went through me.
Giving up on what I really wanted to do depressed me.Right then I learned another lesson.To avoid that kind of depression meant having to bear a certain amount of worry and concern.
When I first began writing articles,I was frequently required to interview big names.Before each interview I would get butterflies in the stomach and my hands would shake.One person I particularly admired was the great composer Duke Ellington.On the stage and on television,he seemed the very model of confidence.Then I learned Ellington still got stage fright.If the highly honored Ellington,who had appeared on the bandstand some 10,000times over 30years,had anxiety attacks,who was I to think I could avoid them?I went on doing those frightening interviews.Then I realized to my astonishment that I was even looking forward to the interviews.What had happened to those butterflies?
Well,in truth,they were still there,but there were fewer of them.I had benefited,I discovered,from a process psychologists call"extinction".If you put an individual in an anxious situation often enough,he will eventually learn that there isn't anything to be worried about,which brings me to a conclusion:you'll never get rid of anxiety by avoiding the things that caused it.
The point is that the new,the different,is definitely scary.But each time you try something,you learn,and as the learning piles up,the world opens to you.

2.Most people look forward to retirement as a time when they can finally take up activities that they never had the time or energy to pursue before.But some recent studies on people in their golden years are disturbing:they suggest that retirees are more likely to suffer from depression and possibly higher rates of other diseases such as heart disease and high blood pressure.That's why a new study of French workers is welcome news.
Led by Hugo Westerlund,a professor of psychology at Stockholm University,the study of more than 14,000workers found lower rates of depression and fatigue (疲勞) in people after they got tired while they were still employed.
The scientists followed the employees of the French national gas and electric company for 14years.They found in the year immediately after retirement,the volunteers reported 40% fewer depressive symptoms than they had in the year before their retirement.The researchers also found an 81% drop in reports of both mental and physical fatigue over the same time period.
Clearly,said Westerlund,much of these decrease in physical and mental fatigue can be traced back to relief from the stresses of work.The decline in depressive symptoms suggests that retirement may be having a positive mental effect,too,which may have a lot to do with the generous pensions (養(yǎng)老金) that French workers enjoy.Most retirees in that country still benefit from about 80% of their yearly salaries.
"The economic or financial situation in retirement is very important,"Westerlund says."We don't know if the decrease in fatigue and depressive symptoms is because of the removal of something bad while in work or the addition of something good while in retirement.But no matter what the reason,if life in retirement is not comfortable,then we won't see the improvements we did."
However,in European nations like France,governments are considering changes to pension plans,which may affect retirees'health after they leave their jobs-with less of a financial safety net,workers may no longer seem so mentally and physically happy to be out of work.
(Note:Answer the questions or complete the statements in NO MORE THAN EIGHT WORDS.)

78.According to some recent studies,retired people may have depression and higher rates of other diseases likeheart disease and high blood pressure.
79.Westerlund's group found that in the year just after the retirement most retired French workers felt much less tired bothmentally and physically.
80.What does the word"improvements"in paragraph 5refer to?The decrease in fatigue and depressive symptoms.
81.Retirement may make people happier withmore of a financial safety net.
