We have to admit that ability alone doesn’t guarantee us success. But if you get yourself well prepared, there is always an opportunity for you to succeed one day.
My father is a Chinese chess fan. He plays it, studies it and discusses it whenever possible. To a certain degree he is a fairly good player, but he never had a chance to prove it and for this he often got complaints from my mother, saying he was just wasting time and energy. But he ignored them and kept this hobby until one day there was a chess competition in our city. Of course, as you can imagine he took part and won－surprisingly, the first prize.
Ability can’t always help you win opportunities and opportunities will never wave to someone with average intelligence and diligence.
