Students in our school have one thing in common-an interest in sports.According to their different aims in doing sports, they fall into three groups.

Many students go to the playground when they feel tired after a few hours of study. These students put much more stress on their study efficiency(效率) than the fun of sports. They just want to go back to their classrooms from the playground with a clearer and quicker mind.So they don't actually care whether they can enjoy themselves on the playground. Most of them choose long-distance running, the kind of exercise which few real sportsmen like.So this group of students can be well regarded as study-oriented participants(參加者).

Students that make up the second group are real sports lovers.Sometimes they even put aside their studies for a match. They participate in the sport that interests them most, not caring whether it is good for their~ health. They may be called fun-oriented sports participants.

The third group want beauty from sports.Boys want to become strong; girls want to be slim and graceful. Those who consider sports the only way of losing weight also belong to this group. They are very careful in choosing the kind of exercise they do,and are afraid that certain sports may influence their body shapes. The proper name for this group may be beauty-oriented sports participants.

No matter which group we belong to,we all benefit(受益) from sports. If you look around the school yard, you will find that bookworms have disappeared, and instead, there are healthy, strong, clever and modernized students everywhere.

I think the Buddy Club is great. I really enjoy talking with the older students about school life and growing up. They can tell me a lot. One student told me how he relaxed (放松) before exams. Another student told me about great websites about learning History and English.

The Buddy Club is also a good place to just forget about school altogether! One of the older students taught us origami (日本折紙). We made paper planes, birds and hats together.

The table tennis tournament(錦標賽) was a great idea. I didn’t do very well, but I learnt a lot from watching the doubles tournament won by a fourteen-year-old girl and a seventeen-year-old boy.

Last year, we had the annual (每年的) Buddy Club Picnic. Everyone enjoyed the games we played. After I learnt how to fish, I caught two fish in the lake. I think it might be a good idea to change the Buddy Club Picnic to a weekend camping trip. We could learn how to put up (架起) tents (帳篷) and how to find our way through a forest. Many of the older students know how to do this already, and I think they would like to teach the younger students.

I want to say again how much I enjoy the club. When I’m older, I will make friends with younger students. Then, I can tell them all about school life and growing up.
