Do you want to live a happier, less stressful (有壓力的) life? Try laughing for no reason at all. That’s how thousands of people start their day at Laughter Clubs around the world — and many doctors now think that having a good laugh might be one of the best ways to stay healthy.
(1)The first Laughter Club was started in Mumbai, India, in 1995 by Dr. Madan Kataria. “Young children laugh about 300 times a day. Adults laugh between 7 and 15 times a day,” says Dr. Kataria. “Everyone’s naturally good at laughing — it’s the universal language. We want people to feel happy with their lives.” There are now more than 500 Laughter Clubs in India and over 1,300 worldwide.
(2)Many doctors are also interested in the effects (效果) of laughter on our health. According to a 5-year study at the UCLA School of Medicine in California, with laughing there is less stress in the body.(3) Laughter improves our health against illness by about 40%.
So, what happens at a Laughter Club? I went along to my nearest club in South London to find out. I was quite nervous at the beginning of the class, to be honest — I wasn’t interested in laughing with a group of strangers, and I was worried about looking stupid. Our laughter teacher told us to clap our hands and say “ho ho ho, ha ha ha,” while looking at each other. However, our bodies can’t tell the difference between fake laughter and real laughter, so they still produce the same healthy effects.
Surprisingly, it works! After ten minutes everybody in the room was laughing for real — and some people just couldn’t stop! At the end of the class I was surprised by how relaxed and comfortable I felt. So if you’re under stress, then start laughing. You might be very pleased with the results!
小題1:將①處改為主動語態(tài)。
_______________________________________________________________________________
小題2:將(2)譯成漢語。
_______________________________________________________________________________
小題3:寫出③處的反意疑問句句。
Laughter improves our health against illness by about 40%.__________?

小題1:Dr. Madan Kataria started the first Laughter Club in Mumbai, India, in 1995.
小題2:很多醫(yī)生也對笑聲對健康的影響產(chǎn)生興趣。
小題3:doesn’t it

小題2:be interested in對……感興趣;故譯為:很多醫(yī)生也對笑聲對健康的影響產(chǎn)生興趣。
小題3:由improves可知前句為一般現(xiàn)在時的肯定形式,故后面用否定形式doesn’t it。

Street Markets(市場) around the World
There are many ways of shopping. You can shop by telephone, by post or through your home computer. But for many people, the most exciting way to shop is also the most traditional(傳統(tǒng)的)—at a street market. You can find markets anywhere in the world. Here are four of them:

There are many “floating markets” in Asia; maybe the most unusual is in Thailand(泰國), at a place called Damnoen Saduak. It’s open from six in the morning to the noon every day. People sell fresh apples, bananas and things like these from their boats.

Many Belgians(比利時人) say that the Grand Place is the most beautiful place in the world. It is the home of a colourful market. It’s open every day except(除了) Monday. On Monday, there’s a wonderful bird market!

One of the world’s most famous markets is in Mexico City—the Sonora Market. You can buy toys, birds and anything you need. It’s open every day from early in the morning till late at night.

In London, on Saturdays and Sundays, thousands of young people from all over the city travel to the Camden Market. It’s the place to go for street fashion, CDs and tapes. Many people also go there for fun.

Travel is useful to us in at least three ways .
First, by traveling, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery of different places. We can see with our own eyes many places which can be read about in books, and visit some famous cities and scenic spots (風景區(qū)).
Second, we will meet people with different interests and see strange and different things. We can get ideas of the conditions and customs of other people , taste different foods and local flavors (風味) if we like. In this way, we can understand how differently other people live.
Third, travel will not only help us to gain knowledge of geography and history and other knowledge, but will also help us keep healthy and make us less narrow minded.
With all these advantages of travel, it is no wonder that travel has now become more popular than ever in China.
