If something goes wrong, don’t just regard it as a little failure, but use it as feedback (反饋). Learn your lesson, make the most of the situation, and do something to solve the problem. It’s not enough to think positively (積極地), you also have to act positively.
If someone’s life is in the trouble, do you just hope that things will turn out fine? Of course not! You get to do anything you can to save the person. So it is with your own life. It is not enough to hope for the best, but you have to do your best. In other words, don’t just stand (or sit) there, do something to improve your life.

When I was growing up, I had an old neighbor, Dr. Gibbs. He didn't look like any doctor I'd ever known. He never invited us to play in his yard, but he was a very kind person. After two years of caring too much, whenever a cold wind blows in, they shake a lot.

I know my children are going to face difficulties.
