(One possible version) 　　Linda liked small animals very much. On her way home from school, she often stopped outside a pet shop to watch her favourite cat. Sometimes she was so interested in the cat that she even forgot the time. When her parents asked her the reason, she told them about the lovely cat. 　　On her birthday, Linda stopped outside the pet shop again to see the lovely cat, but it wasn't there. She went back sadly. When she got home, she got a great surprise. Her parents showed her the white cat from the pet shop as a present. Linda was very happy. From then on, she came home early to play with the cat.
