Feeling good about ourselves is important. It helps us to have good relationships,to do well in school,to make good choices about our minds and bodies, and most importantly,to respect ourselves. So,here are a few things you can do to encourage yourselves.

Stop thinking negative thoughts about yourself. When you start thinking something negative about yourself, stop and give yourself a compliment instead. "I did better in that test than I thought I would, for example,or "I like the color of my hair.

Make a list of the things you are good at and things you like about yourself. If you focus on the positive, you will learn to love and respect your self!

Remember that there are some things you cannot change about yourself. There is no point worrying about things such as your skin color, for example,or your shoe size. These things are part of you and you should learn to appreciate and accept them.

Aim to do your best, not to be perfect. Don’t expect the impossible. Instead of wishing you were top of the class, focus on specific and realistic ways of improving your work instead.

Accept your mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes,so don't give yourself a hard time when you make them. See them as learning opportunities instead.

Exercise and have fun!Relax and have a good time. You’ll relieve stress (緩解壓力) ,and be healthier and happier, too!
